BCSO: No school threat after firearm report in Macon
Deputies say the man fully complied and was determined to be lawfully carrying a firearm.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says deputies investigated a report of a person with a firearm on Riverside Park Boulevard Tuesday morning.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, a call came into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 7:40 a.m. reporting someone with a firearm in the area. Deputies responded and located the man nearby.
The sheriff’s office said the man fully complied with deputies during the investigation and was identified as being within his rights to carry the firearm.
“The subject was never near a school nor were there any reports of an active shooter situation,” the release said.
Deputies said the man was released after cooperating, and the investigation concluded.
