Motorcyclist injured in Houston County crash

The crash happened around 10:51 a.m. July 5 at the intersection of Ga. Highway 96 and Mt. Zion Road.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Houston County man was hospitalized Saturday morning after a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 10:51 a.m. July 5 at the intersection of Ga. Highway 96 and Mt. Zion Road.

A 2017 gray Ford Escape was heading west on Highway 96 and attempting to turn left onto Mt. Zion Road when it collided with a 2022 silver Harley-Davidson V-Rod traveling eastbound.

The motorcycle rider was injured in the crash and transported to a local hospital. His condition has not been released.
