Peach County Blanks Westside in Spring Football Matchup
The Peach County Trojans and Westside Seminoles Battle Under the Lights of Trojan Stadium in Spring Football Scrimmage

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Spring football returned to the gridiron Friday night in ‘The Valley’ as Peach County hosted Westside under the lights at Trojan Stadium.
Peach County, coming off an impressive 11-2 season in Class 3A, shut out the Seminoles 21-0 in the offseason showcase. The Trojans, led by head coach Marquis Westbrook, are preparing for another deep playoff run as he enters his third season at the helm in Fort Valley.
Despite graduating key seniors — including standout quarterback D.J. Hudson — Peach County showed they remain a force in Middle Georgia. The program went undefeated in region play last season and has built a proud legacy with a 452-195 all-time record.
Westside, out of Class 2A, is aiming to build off a 6-6 campaign that included a playoff win last fall. Former star running back Kadiphius Iverson, one of the top rushers in Bibb County history, helped spark that postseason victory with six touchdowns against Spencer and nearly 5,000 career rushing yards to his name.
Head coach Spoon Risper, entering his 17th season with the Seminoles, hopes this offseason marks the turning point for his squad.
But on Friday night, it was all Peach County, as the Trojans controlled the game on both sides of the ball in a dominant 21-0 win.
2025 season kicks off Friday, August 15.
