Former Ace Athletic Director Josh Mclendon Joins Dublin City High School As New Softball Coach

DUBLIN, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Monday, Dublin City Schools announced the hiring of former ACE Athletic Director, Baseball and Softball Head Coach Josh McLendon through a social media PRESS RELEASE

McLendon will be the Fighting Irish’s new Head Softball Coach as well as joining DMS Athletic Director Amanda Howard and District Athletic Director Roger Holmes in managing the operations of Dublin Athletics at Dublin High School.

The new Lady Irish softball head coach brings 20 years of coaching and athletics experience with him to Dublin. McLendon won a state championship with Central Fellowship Christian in 2015 and most recently with the ACE Lady Gryphons going undefeated for the state title in 2021, while also taking the Gryphons baseball team to the final four in that same year.

McLendon will be joined by his wife Julie, who has accepted a teaching role at Dublin City Schools. Along with his three children, Jake, a current Senior Baseball player at ACE, Jaymi Kate, a current Sophomore Softball player at ACE, and the youngest one, Jillian.
