Woman in critical condition after shooting on Carlisle Avenue in Macon

Deputies say the woman was shot Thursday night on Carlisle Avenue and remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in critical condition after being shot at a home in the 1000 block of Carlisle Avenue on Thursday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Deputies responded to a call about a person shot and found a woman with a gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

She was taken to a local hospital. Investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
