(LILAMAX)- United Airlines is planning to reduce its domestic flight schedule beginning this summer in response to weaker-than-expected travel demand within the U.S. However, the airline says demand for international routes — especially higher-priced long-haul flights — remains strong. American Airlines announced it will offer in-flight WiFi, joining United and Delta in expanding connectivity options for passengers.

Buying a home in the U.S. now requires nearly double the income needed to afford renting, according to a new report from Redfin. The real estate data firm says Americans need an annual salary of $116,633 to comfortably afford a median-priced home — 82% more than the $64,160 needed to rent the average apartment.

The affordability gap continues to grow amid high home prices and stubbornly elevated interest rates. Redfin’s analysis is based on the standard financial rule that no more than 30% of income should go toward housing payments.

U.S. stocks posted modest losses on Tuesday. While markets dipped slightly, investors appeared relieved as fears over a worst-case scenario involving tariffs have eased — for now.

With entry-level job openings tightening, more young adults are turning to family for employment. According to payroll provider Gusto, the number of small businesses employing an owner’s adult child has doubled since 2018, with a 13% increase just in the past year. The Wall Street Journal reports a growing number of early-career workers now call their mom or dad “boss.”

Starbucks is serving up new treats for summer 2025. One of the headline additions is an oatmilk shaken espresso inspired by horchata — a traditional Mexican drink made with rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Also joining the seasonal lineup is a new sweet treat: the Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop. Both items will be available starting in May.
