(LILAMAX)- U.S. employers could face their largest health care cost increase in decades, according to a new survey.

Marsh, the benefits consultant formerly known as Mercer, anticipates company health care costs will increase an average of 11% unless employers reduce benefits. From 2018 through 2027, health care costs could climb 76%, roughly twice the rate of general inflation. The increase comes as many Americans, including those with insurance, report struggling to afford health care. The issue has also become a major concern for voters.

Meanwhile, sporting events, concerts and other major events are increasingly influencing where people choose to travel.

Mastercard SpendingPulse data found international travelers came to the United States in large numbers for the World Cup. Tourists from Morocco and Croatia spent record amounts in the U.S., while 10% of spending by Japanese visitors went to American steakhouses.

On Wall Street, the Dow gained 300 points, snapping a three-day losing streak as interest rates cooled.

The U.S. alcohol industry continues to face challenges as consumers cut back on beer, wine and spirits. One liquor maker reported quarterly sales declined amid slower tequila sales and the end of a wine deal, with tequila sales alone falling 12%. Tighter household budgets and health concerns are contributing to the yearslong slowdown, while some consumers are choosing cannabis instead of alcohol.

 Southwest Airlines is preparing to launch its first airport lounges. The lounges will initially be available at four airports: Baltimore, Honolulu, Nashville and Austin. Southwest also plans to introduce a new Chase-issued co-branded credit card in 2027 that will provide customers access to its lounge network.
