Confirmed EF-1 Tornado in Bibb and Twiggs Counties Sunday evening
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Severe weather brought a tornado to Bibb and Twiggs Counties Sunday evening.
The tornado touched down just to the west of US Highway 23 in eastern Bibb County. It then traveled east, crossing Highway 23 and eventually Interstate 16 in Twiggs County.
It would eventually cross US Highway 80 south of Dry Branch in Twiggs County before lifting. The biggest damage caused by the tornado is rated EF-1 with 90 mph max wind velocity.
