Two tornadoes confirmed in Middle Georgia Monday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monday’s severe weather saw two tornadoes touch down in Middle Georgia and at least five around the state.
Two tornadoes touched down in Middle Georgia Monday afternoon with both of them occurring in Houston County. One of them also impacted parts of Peach and Bibb Counties. Both Tornadoes have been rated EF-0s with estimated top winds of 75 mph.
The first tornado travelled from just northwest of State Route 49 in Peach County and travelled east across the highway, staying on the ground until it reached Hawkinsville Road just south of Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
The second tornado touched down near the Watson Blvd/Margie Dr intersection in Centerville, moving northeast and uprooting several trees. Several trees fell on homes, however there were luckily no injuries to report.
