Pedestrian killed in Friday hit-and-run crash on Ben Hall Lake Drive in Laurens County
A woman was killed Friday night after a driver struck her and left the scene along Ben Hall Lake Drive in Laurens County, according to a Georgia Motor Vehicle Crash Report obtained by 41NBC.

LAURENS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was killed Friday night after a driver struck her and left the scene along Ben Hall Lake Drive in Laurens County, according to a Georgia Motor Vehicle Crash Report obtained by 41NBC.
According to the report, obtained on Monday, the crash happened around 8:11 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Ben Hall Lake Drive. The report states Christopher Malcolm Brown of East Dublin was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry when he failed to maintain his lane on a left curve, entered the east shoulder and hit a pedestrian walking along the road.
The pedestrian, identified in the report as Angela Christyna Cain of Dublin, was pronounced dead at the scene. The report says she came to rest on the east shoulder near the driveway.
The report also says the vehicle failed to stop and left the scene.
Brown was not injured, according to the report, but later underwent a blood alcohol test, with results pending.
The crash remains under investigation.
