BCSO: Wanted man arrested in Macon after giving false name, running from deputies
A wanted man was arrested Tuesday after giving a Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy a false name and then attempting to run, according to the sheriff’s office.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A wanted man was arrested Tuesday after giving a Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy a false name and then attempting to run, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say they approached a truck parked on Wyche Street next to a pile of illegally dumped tires, and that 42-year-old Jonathan Jermaine Jefferson Sr., jumped out and ran. Deputies quickly caught him and took him into custody.
Jefferson, who was wanted on a warrant, was also found in possession of narcotics, deputies said. He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center and booked on multiple charges.
According to Bibb County Jail records, he’s charged with giving false name, address, or birth date; willful obstruction of law enforcement officers; purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana; and parole violation.
