MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A fight inside the Bibb County Jail last month left multiple people injured, according to an incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The fight broke out on just before 8:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, in Block B-300 of the jail. According to the report, requested by 41NBC on February 26 and obtained on Monday, March 10, two deputies had just completed a routine headcount and were stepping outside the front gate when they were confronted by a “chaotic scene.” As one deputy tried to regain control, the report says 18-year-old inmate Skylar Hill lunged at him, knocking the deputy’s taser from his grip and swinging a fist. 17-year-old inmate Frankie Clowers then struck the deputy in the face with his fist, according to the report.

Backup deputies arrived shortly after and restored order, according to the report.

The report says inmate Reginald Harris accused Clowers and another inmate of attacking him. Clowers claimed Harris struck him first “without any apparent reason,” leading him to retaliate.

Both inmates received medical treatment for their injuries. Harris was stabbed in the chest and head and had multiple bruises on his back, arms, and face, according to the report. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Clowers had minor scrapes and bruises on his right hand and was treated in the infirmary before being escorted back to his cell.

According to the report, neither deputy was injured.

Deputies say the primary suspects are Hill and Clowers for aggravated assault against Harris and felony obstruction against the deputies, but the incident is still under investigation, pending charges.

The case is still under investigation. Anyone with additional information should call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500.
