Macon man dead after shooting on Sunday night

A call came into the Macon Bibb E-911 Center reporting a man had been shot on Ernest Street at 7:43 p.m. on February 23.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after being shot on Sunday evening, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

A call came into the Macon Bibb E-911 Center reporting a man had been shot on Ernest Street at 7:43 p.m. on February 23. Deputies responded to a residence within the 1300 block of Ernest Street and found a man unresponsive in the backyard with a gunshot wound.

Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson pronounced the man dead on scene. Next of kin has been notified and no other injuries have been reported.

The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Reginald Sherard Kendrick.
