Sunny and cool end to the week

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The wind will be calmer Friday as cool conditions stick around Middle Georgia.
This Evening
Clouds from last night cleared this morning and the wind began to pick up a lot shortly thereafter. Strong gusts of around 25 mph will continue through the late afternoon and into the evening before slowing overnight. Overnight wind will flow from the north at 5-10 mph with the occasional gust ranging from 15-20 mph. It will be the coldest night of the week as well with temperatures dropping into the lower 20s. Wind chills will dip into the teens to begin Friday morning. Middle Georgians with older plumbing may want to consider dripping the faucets overnight.
Tomorrow
Skies will be mostly sunny around Middle Georgia to end the week with only a few high clouds expected overhead. Temperatures will climb into the upper 40s and lower 50s across the region in the afternoon with light wind flowing from the northeast.
Overnight will be cold with lows expected in the mid to upper 20s under partly cloudy skies. Wind will remain calm.
This Weekend
An overall sunny pattern will carry through the weekend as high pressure takes over much of the southeastern US. Expect this to lead to a gradual warming trend through the weekend and into next week. Wind should be rather calm through the weekend as well.
