Police: Warner Robins man accidentally shoots himself at Fazoli’s while ordering food

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 75-year-old man accidentally shot himself Tuesday afternoon at a Fazoli’s restaurant in Warner Robins, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.
Officers responded to the restaurant, at 762 Highway 96, around 3:40 p.m. after reports of a gunshot. Investigators determined that 75-year-old Gregory Smith had a firearm in his front pocket while ordering food. As he reached into his pocket to get change, the trigger was accidentally pulled, causing the gun to fire a single round into his thigh.
Houston County EMS took Smith to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
