Warner Robins Walmart recognizes Black History Month with parade
"The main thing is we're all one and we're all working together," digital operations leader Corina Adams said.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Black History Month can and has been celebrated in many different ways over many decades, and Walmart on Booth Road is celebrating in its own special way.
The sound of drums and Black pride could be heard inside the store on Tuesday during a Black History Month parade. Digital operations leader Corina Adams says this event is special because it empowers and encourages Black youth.
“We want to make sure we are showcasing our culture,” she said. “And it’s all about unity and diversity, so we want to make sure everyone feels supported, so we do a big event to make sure everyone participates and have a great time.”
Adams says it’s important to set an example of unity for our youth.
“Events like this should take place so we can make sure we are showing unity and that the community understands that Walmart is someone that has a community as well,” she said.
Adams also said it’s important for the Black community to stick together.
“It is simply telling them that, if you work hard and you work together, you can always succeed,” she said. “And make sure we are always looking for the future and making sure we are pushing to be successful and fight together.”
“The main thing is we’re all one and we’re all working together,” she added.
Adams says she believes Black History Month events like this will continue to empower and encourage the youth.
