Skies were completely sunny to begin the new work week, however clouds will start to return as soon as the overnight hours tonight with more rain expected early Wednesday. Any clouds tonight will be high cirrus clouds, and there should not be too many of them. It will be a cold night as temperatures fall to around the freezing point ahead of the sunrise on Wednesday. Wind will be gentle out of the north.

Tomorrow

Tuesday morning will be mostly sunny and chilly. Expect more cirrus clouds to move in throughout the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s across the region. Wind will be light and variable, ultimately resolving out of the east during the evening.

Expect the overnight skies to be cloudy as the odds for rain begin to spike. In fact, widespread rain and showers are expected rolling into the sunrise hours Wednesday morning. Expect low temperatures to be in the upper 30s and lower 40s, so the rain will be rather cold. Layering under the rain gear Wednesday morning would not be a bad idea for Middle Georgians.

Wednesday and Beyond

Wednesday will be a cloudy day with rain expected during the morning and a few straggling showers later in the afternoon. Wind will begin to pick up out of the north-northwest late Wednesday. Sunny conditions should be back Thursday as powerful winds stick around for a day.
