Macon Town Hall to address LGBTQ+ legislation, marginalized communities
Local LGBT Advocate DeMarcus Beckham said they're hosting the Town Hall to provide more clarity on the recent developments in state law, including bills currently being presented to lawmakers.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Town Hall is set for Wednesday night in Macon to discuss legislation impacting the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups.
The Human Rights Campaign of Georgia and Mercer University Common Ground are hosting the “Stand Up For Our Rights” legislative session updates.
Local LGBT advocate DeMarcus Beckham said they’re hosting the town hall to provide more clarity on the recent developments in state law, including bills currently being presented to lawmakers.
Beckham said it’s also an opportunity for members in the LGBTQ+ community to get together and talk about issues they face on a day-to-day basis.
The town hall is Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will be held in Willingham Hall on the Mercer University campus in Macon.
