More showers possible Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A stalled out cold front will spur on a few showers chances Friday afternoon and evening.

A mostly cloudy day will become a partly to mostly cloudy night across Middle Georgia. A shower or two will be possible through the sunset and into the early parts of tonight. Conditions will stay very warm as low temperatures will only be in the upper 50s and lower 60s, or more than 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Wind will slow to around 5-10 mph from the west-southwest. Fog will be possible ahead of and into Friday morning.

Friday should see a little bit more sun than Thursday, however mostly cloudy skies are still likely for much of the region. Highs will mainly be in the upper 70s however the warmest spots may eclipse 80 degrees. Shower odds will be at their highest in the late afternoon and evening, however most of the region will stay dry and any rain seen will be light and short lived. Wind will flow from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph, gusting upwards of about 17 mph.

Partly cloudy skies early will see fog and low level clouds fill in ahead of Saturday morning. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s as the wind flows from the west-southwest around 5 mph.

The warm and muggy pattern will roll on as partly sunny skies are expected Saturday with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Shower odds will be low but still cannot be ruled out late. Sunday will be cloudier and a bit cooler with showers odds slightly higher, however most of the region still will not see rain. This warm and mostly cloudy pattern will carry at least into next week.
