Washington County sheriff: Man run over after fight with co-worker
A workplace dispute escalated into violence on a Washington County highway, leaving one man hospitalized and another under arrest, according to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A workplace dispute escalated into violence on a Washington County road, leaving one man hospitalized and another under arrest, according to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.
It happened in the 4000 block of Highway 102 Thursday night.
Investigators determined two co-workers were traveling together when a verbal and physical altercation started. The situation escalated, resulting in one of the people being run over by a vehicle, the sheriff said.
The victim was airlifted to an out-of-area trauma center for treatment. There’s no update on the victim’s condition.
Following the investigation, deputies arrested 37-year-old Larry Brooks of Tennille. He is charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, battery and reckless driving, according to Cochran.
No additional details have been provided. The case remains under investigation.
