Atrium Health Amphitheater contributes $20 million into community

Macon Centreplex venues have set record-breaking numbers, and contributed a significant economic impact to the community. 

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Centreplex venues have set record-breaking numbers, and contributed a significant economic impact to the community.

General Manager at the Oak View Group, David Aiello, says the Atrium Health Amphitheater, Macon City Auditorium, and the Macon Coliseum hosted more than 200 events in 2024.

According to the Oak View Group, the three venues welcomed more than 250,000 attendees. Aiello adds that the events helped attract visitors from more than 100 miles in every direction and beyond.

In the first year of the Atrium Health Amphitheater, there were 22 shows plus other events, more than 100,000 fans, and two sold out concerts. The Oak View Group says the Atrium Health Amphitheater helped change the landscape of Macon music.

According to the oak View Group, the Macon Coliseum announced a lease extension with Macon Mayhem, and the hockey team will call Macon home for another five years.

Aiello says that the spending associated with the Atrium Health Amphitheater exceeded $20 million in the community. The Georgia High School Association’s (GHSA) Wrestling residency at the Macon Coliseum saw an economic impact of $3.35 million.

Aiello adds that there will be key events in 2025 such as Monster Jam, Charlie Wilson, Chicago, the Macon Blues Festival, and a tribute to the late Dickey Betts.
