Weekend In Sports Forecast: College Football Madness!

So, I’ve decided to try something new on Thursdays! I’ll be posting a blog with your sports weather for the weekend — so that you can concentrate on packing up the car for the big tailgate, instead of trying to find weather conditions for your destination.

This week we’ll start in Charlottesville, Virginia where your Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are taking on the Cavaliers from the University of Virginia.

Kickoff is at 3:30 on Saturday and you can expect abundant sunshine, with a high temperature near 72 degrees. That sounds like perfect football weather to me!

Winds will be from the west between 8 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

If you’re headed up to this beautiful college town, you’ll need to hang on to those GA Tech hats! (Be sure to check out the whole campus while you’re there — it’s spectacular!)

Now we move on to Nashville, Tennessee, where the Bullldogs from Athens are taking on the Commodores from Vanderbilt.

Kickoff is at 7:00 PM so even though you’ll have beautiful tailgating conditions (Sunny with a high of 72!), it will dip down into the upper 40s late on Saturday night.

Be sure to bring a jacket for this one!

Let’s travel south of Music City to Statesboro, Georgia. Your Georgia Southern Eagles will be facing off against the Furman Paladins at Paulson Stadium.

Gametime is 3:00 PM, so you’ll enjoy plenty of sunshine, with a high temperature near 81 degrees.

It looks like an absolutely gorgeous weekend for some exciting college football match-ups!

If you’re sticking around Middle Georgia, there will be plenty of sunshine for you to enjoy with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
