Robins Air Force Base to close through Wednesday due to winter weather

Robins Air Force Base will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, and remain closed through Wednesday, January 22, due to a winter storm, according to a news release from the base.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Robins Air Force Base will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, and remain closed through Wednesday, January 22, due to a winter storm, according to a news release from the base.

The installation commander ordered a mission-essential posture starting at noon on Tuesday. Leaders will continue monitoring the storm’s progress and will decide the base’s status for Thursday, January 23, based on road conditions.

“The Russell and Green Street Gates will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21. The Watson Gate will remain open for normal operations throughout the base closure,” the release stated.

Team Robins personnel are encouraged to maximize telework and maintain communication with their supervisors for unit-specific guidance.
