ORIGINAL STORY (1/7/25):

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Houston County Water Department issued a boil water advisory Tuesday night for residents and businesses after a water main break near the intersection of State Route 247 and Elberta Road.

The advisory is for parts of Houston County bounded by Dunbar Road, Story Road and Elberta Road, as well as Plantation Road and State Route 247 north of Elberta Road.

“Customers may lose water pressure while repairs are being made,” a post on Houston County Government’s Facebook page stated.Residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking or brushing teeth. Bottled water is also recommended. The advisory will remain in effect until the Houston County Water Department confirms water safety through testing.”
