2 hospitalized after Monday afternoon shooting, BCSO says

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two people were shot Monday afternoon on Main Street near the intersection of Jones Avenue in east Macon.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two people were shot Monday afternoon on Main Street near the intersection of Jones Avenue in east Macon.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies responded to reports of shots fired just after 3:30. Witnesses told deputies a 47-year-old man had been taken a local medical facility by ambulance. He is listed in critical condition.

Deputies later learned a second victim, a 25-year-old woman, was taken to a medical facility by personal vehicle. She is listed in stable condition.
