MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Clouds will gradually return to Middle Georgia tonight and tomorrow after a midweek window of sunshine.

This Evening

A sunny afternoon will give way to a clear evening around Middle Georgia. Skies should still largely be clear by midnight, however cirrus clouds will begin to arrive from the west in the pre-sunrise hours of Friday. Temperatures will again dip towards the freezing point as the wind blows from the northeast at around 5 mph.

Tomorrow

The arrival of cirrus clouds overnight should make for some pretty sunrises in Middle Georgia, especially for the western counties. These clouds are thin enough to allow some sun through them so it should be a chilly but pleasant morning. However, cloud cover will thicken up later in the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 50s around the region as wind blows from the northeast at 5-12 mph, gusting to about 20 mph (mainly later in the day).

The evening and overnight hours will be breezy as the wind gusts hang around the 20-25 mph mark from the northeast. Skies will be mostly cloudy, especially with lower level clouds filling in from the south. Temperatures will still be chilly as they drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s, or around the average for this time of year.
