F1 Drivers Approve Of Track For Indian Grand Prix
NEW DELHI – Formula One drivers say they are pleased with the track for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix after having their first view of the Buddh International Circuit on Thursday.
While some drivers had concerns about the amount of dust and dirt on the surface before Friday’s first practice session, they were pleased with the overtaking opportunities and intriguing design.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel said the wide entrance to the corners will allow for drivers to take different racing lines and improve overtaking. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso welcomed a high-speed final sector, while Mercedes’ Michael Schumacher said the undulating design will create some blind spots approaching corners.
