Fort Valley man arrested for home invasion, kidnapping
When officers arrived, 36-year-old Ryann McGhee was found chambering a bullet into a firearm.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested for home invasion and kidnapping in Fort Valley on Tuesday, according to Chief of Police DJ Flores.
According to a press release, officers were dispatched to the to the Lakeview Apartment complex located at 1105 Edwards Street regarding a possible domestic situation involving a firearm.
When officers arrived, 36-year-old Ryann McGhee was found chambering a bullet into a firearm.
McGhee saw the officers and discarded the firearm. He was taken into custody and officers began an investigation.
According to a press release, McGhee was in possession of a firearm prior to officers contacting him and McGhee entered another residence without permission. McGhee then pointed the firearm towards people in the residence, making a threat to cause harm and then ordering one of the people to knock on McGhee’s estranged girlfriend’s residence door.
The victim followed the demand of McGhee to avoid harm. McGhee’s estranged girlfriend later opened the door where she encountered McGhee. Officers then arrived on scene and observed McGhee kicking towards his estranged girlfriend’s door and appeared to be chambering a bullet into the firearm.
McGhee was arrested for home invasion, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and possession of firearm during certain crimes. McGhee was transported to the Peach County Detention Center.
