Well above average temperatures expected Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures around Middle Georgia will be around ten degrees above average Thursday afternoon.
This Evening
Sunny skies from the afternoon will stay clear heading into tonight. The gradual warming trend the Peach State has seen over the past several days will continue. Low temperatures tonight will be in the mid to upper 50s, or around 5 degrees above normal for this time of year. Wind will be gentle out of the northwest.
Tomorrow
Another sunny afternoon is expected Thursday as temperatures ramp up into the upper 80s for much of the region in the afternoon. That’s around 10 degrees above normal for late October, so an extra layer of clothing will likely not be necessary (at least in the afternoon). Wind will be light from the north-northwest.
Overnight skies will be mostly clear with temperatures dropping into the low to mid 50s. Wind will be light out of the north-northeast.
The Tropics
There are no areas in the Atlantic Basin to watch at this time, however Hurricane Season runs through November 30th.
