The Georgia National Fair is estimated to have contributed nearly $35 million to the economy.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter has released the official attendance numbers for the 35th annual Georgia National Fair. There were 545,382 visitors this year, which is the second-highest attendance in the event’s history.

The Georgia National Fair ran from October 3 to October 13. Attendees were able to enjoy live concerts, rides, fair treats, livestock shows, 4-H projects, and art exhibits.

Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter Marketing and Business Development Director, Maggie Lane, says there were several days that saw record-breaking attendance.
  • Wednesday, October 9: 53,268 guests
  • Friday, October 11: 75,331 guests
  • Sunday, October 13: 66,798 guests

The Georgia National Fair is estimated to have contributed nearly $35 million to the economy. Lane says 15% of attendees traveled from out-of-state.

Lane adds that almost $1 million in sales tax will be collected from the event, which directly benefits local and state revenues.

“This event is a massive undertaking that relies on the dedication and support of so many partners—our incredible staff and board, law enforcement, volunteers, state agencies, youth exhibitors, vendors, and corporate sponsors,” said Executive Director of the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, Stephen Shimp. “It’s truly rewarding to see all that hard work come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our fairgoers.”

“We are excited to begin curating the 2025 Fair experience for all our faithful fairgoers,” added Shimp. “Georgia has entrusted us to host this event year after year, and we are dedicated to continuing to provide top-quality entertainment and experiences for all.”

The 2025 Georgia National Fair will be held from October 2 to October 12.
