Sunny and windy Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Sunny skies and blustery winds will take over Middle Georgia as Milton heads back out to sea Thursday.
This Evening
High cirrus clouds have taken over Middle Georgia as Hurricane Milton prepares to make landfall in Florida near the Tampa Bay area. These will remain through the evening and into tonight, likely clearing out ahead of sunrise tomorrow morning. Rain is not expected despite the cloudier conditions. It will be a cool and breezy night as lows fall into the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s. Wind out of the northeast will range from 7-15 mph, gusting upwards of 25 mph.
Tomorrow
Sunny skies are expected throughout the day as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 70s. Wind will be pronounced out of the north-northeast as it blows at 10-20 mph, gusting between 25-30 mph.
Overnight will be clear and cool as lows plummet into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Wind will remain out of the northeast at 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.
