Sister Theresa shares final thoughts, prepares to leave Daybreak Macon
Sister Theresa is preparing for her next mission with the Sisters of Charity in Detroit.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Director at Depaul USA Daybreak/Sheridan Health Center, Sister Theresa Sullivan, has served Middle Georgia for nearly eight years and now her time is coming to a close.
“You know, I have mixed emotions. Huge gratitude,” says Sister Theresa when asked about her time in Macon. “When I came to Macon, Sister Katie said, you are going to love the people. And that has been so true.”
Sister Theresa has served Macon and helped the homeless community over the course of her time. Sister Theresa’s latest project was the completion of the Sheridan Center and Respite Care Facility.
The center has 12 beds and offers dental, physical, and mental health services to homeless people.
“The Depaul USA mission is homelessness has no place,” says Sister Theresa. “The legacy of everybody working together is to reach out our brothers and sisters who are homeless.”
Sister Theresa is preparing for her next mission with the Sisters of Charity in Detroit.
“I’ll be working with our sisters who are in developing countries,” said Sister Theresa. “Our sisters in Africa and South America and India and Ukraine in the Middle East, and helping them do what we did here.”
