Georgia Tech Still Bothered By 2010 Loss To Kansas

ATLANTA – Coach Paul Johnson remembers Kansas taking a knee at the end of the game. Stephen Hill recalls dropping a touchdown pass.

For Georgia Tech, an ugly loss sent the team into a swoon that lasted a whole season.

The Yellow Jackets (2-0) will be looking to make up last year’s 28-25 shocker when they host Kansas (2-0) on Saturday in the final tuneup before the start of conference play.

Georgia Tech is trying not to fret over what happened in 2010, but there’s no doubt that game still stings in these parts. Kansas took advantage of numerous blunders by the visiting team to pull out the first of just three wins in Turner Gill’s debut season as coach.

The Yellow Jackets never really recovered from the setback, stumbling to a 6-7 record.
