Special Search for Giddings’ Remains Wraps Up

A five day search at the Twiggs County Landfill for the remains of murdered law graduate Lauren Giddings ended Friday.  Macon Police won’t say whether they found anything, but they did confirm the area they were searching had mail and newspapers with the dates that corresponded with when trash would have been taken out in the days surrounding Giddings’ disappearance.

Giddings’ torso was found in a trash can outside her Georgia Avenue apartment on June 30th.  25-year-old Stephen McDaniel is charged with the murder and remains in the Bibb County Jail.
