Georgia Tech Makes Plea For Big Crowd Saturday

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech is back in the Top 25 and off to its best start since 2005. That’s not enough to guarantee a full house for Saturday’s ACC opener against North Carolina.

Athletic director Dan Radakovich made a public plea Tuesday for more fans to turn out. He points out there are plenty of ticket options and adds that the weather forecast looks good for the game against the Tar Heels.

The Yellow Jackets (3-0) are averaging just over 42,000 for their first two home games, about 13,000 short of capacity at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The turnout should be better for North Carolina, but Radakovich says there’s still about 10,000 available tickets.

Coach Paul Johnson is also hoping for a big crowd, saying it would give a boost to his players.
