5 arrested for multiple drug charges after being pulled over in Fort Valley, investigation underway

Officers say they found marijuana, 2 stolen firearms, a box containing sandwich bags, and a digital scale during the traffic stop.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Five people from Warner Robins were arrested for multiple drug charges after being stopped for driving without headlights in Fort Valley, according to the Fort Valley Police Department.

According to Chief of Police DJ Flores, officers were patrolling the area of State University Drive at Jones Alley on September 18 at 1:48 a.m. Officers saw a gray Chrysler Pacifica driving without headlights and conducted a traffic stop.

Officers found marijuana, 2 stolen firearms, a box containing sandwich bags, and a digital scale during the traffic stop. The firearms were reported stolen from Bibb County and Warner Robins.

Officers arrested 19-year-old Tyrell Battle, 18-year-old Ryan Ford, 18-year-old Kenneth Lawerence, 21-year-old Dveon Hart and a minor.

The five men were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during certain crimes, theft by receiving stolen firearms, and drug related objects.
