It’s been a mostly cloudy day around Middle Georgia, but some sun is coming through in the afternoon and evening. This evening a few more clouds will clear out, but scattered clouds will remain overhead through the night. It will be cooler than last night as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 60s. Wind will mainly come from the east-northeast at 5 mph, however it could differ in a few spots.

Thursday will be partly cloudy and warm as highs climb into the upper 80s for most of the region. A couple spots could graze 90. Rain odds should be down a bit from Wednesday, but an isolated shower or two cannot be ruled out. The best window for showers will be the afternoon and evening. Wind will generally flow out of the north-northeast around 5 mph.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon are trying to reorganize in the open Atlantic. This poses no threat to the US. However, an area identified in the western Caribbean could develop over the next week or so. Models are currently split on where it will go, with the Euro taking it west and the GFS north towards FL/GA.
