Bibb deputies seek information after man dies following ‘physical altercation’

Deputies responded to a home in the 2400 block of Monroe Avenue just before midnight on September 6 after the E-911 Center received a call reporting a person down after a physical altercation.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man has died after being involved in a “physical altercation” last week.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded to a home in the 2400 block of Monroe Avenue just before midnight on September 6 after the E-911 Center received a call reporting a person down after a physical altercation.

Deputies say paramedics treated 63-year-old Dennis Lundy, who was unresponsive, on the scene. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in critical condition.

Deputies say Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones pronounced Lundy dead Thursday. His family has been notified.
