The GBI says 18-year-old Quentin Vanteryll Gibson of Dublin is in custody and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the death of Cortez Hicks in September.

UPDATE (11/8/24): The GBI says 18-year-old Quentin Vanteryll Gibson of Dublin is in custody and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the death of Cortez Hicks in September.

Gibson was booked into the Laurens County Jail, according to a GBI news release.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating a shooting in Dublin that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man.

According to a GBI news release, Dublin Police asked for the GBI’s assistance after Cortez Hicks of Dublin was found inside a Jones Village Lane home with gunshot wounds just before noon on Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
