The event will be September 5 at 10:15 a.m. at the Perry Branch.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  The Houston County Public Library System is hosting ‘Prince and Princess Story Time‘ and inviting the community to participate.

The event will be September 5 at 10:15 a.m. at the Perry Branch.

Youth Specialist, Yolanda Young, says royal attire and costumes are encouraged.

Young says September is library card sign-up month and the Houston County Public Library System is encouraging community members to sign up for a library card. The library is hoping to register 200 new library card users.

The Houston County Public Library System is also hosting the 1,000 Books Reading Challenge. The goal is to read 1,000 books over the year and participants will receive prizes. Young says participants can log their books through the Beanstack app.
