Warner Robins appoints Albert S. Wright as new fire chief

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Warner Robins has appointed Albert S. Wright as its new fire chief, the city announced on Monday.

“Mr. Wright brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in fire service leadership,” the announcement read. “We are confident that his expertise will further strengthen our fire department and ensure the continued safety and well-being of our community.”

According to the announcement, Chief Wright brings more than three decades of experience to the role. He served in key positions at the Savannah Fire Department, Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Rockdale Fire Rescue and Riverdale Fire Services, where he served as fire chief from October 2020 until June 2024.

Wright, a U.S. Army veteran, holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University. He also earned the Chief Fire Officer designation from the Center of Public Safety Excellence.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have someone of Chief Wright’s expertise and dedication to fulfill this vital role for our fire department,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “His extensive experience and leadership will undoubtedly enhance the safety and well-being of our community.”
