NASCAR Driver Visits Middle Georgia
A racing star is coming to Middle Georgia this weekend all in the name of charity. NASCAR driver and Unadilla native, David Ragan, will head to the 441 Speedway in Dublin Saturday to help raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
“This is one of the most exciting weekends of stock car racing in Middle Georgia. The first time in history that a NASCAR driver has been to 441 Speedway to appear and to drive in a late model division race,” says Willis Wombles, 441 Speedway track promoter.
You can meet David and watch him in action this Saturday at 441 Speedway. From 4pm – 6pm, you can bring the children out for autographs and pictures. The race starts at 7pm. The cost is $10 for general admission and $5 for children. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Ragan is a huge supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children and makes appearances at local racetracks to support the charity.
He drives the #6 UPS Ford for Roush Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series and was the winner of the Coke Zero 400 two weeks ago in Daytona.
He will also be at his dealership, David Ragan Ford, in Perry from 11am to 1pm on Saturday.
