The event, held at the Grand Opera House in downtown Macon, introduced two new titles this year: Miss Central Georgia and Miss Central Georgia’s Teen. A mentor program for young girls aged 5-12, known as Belles, also debuted with seven participants.
Eleven delegates competed in various categories, including private interviews, fitness, talent, onstage questions and evening gown presentations.
Wesleyan College provided $730,000 in scholarships for the winners and runners-up. The Miss Macon Scholarship Organization awarded Miss Macon and Miss Central Georgia an additional $750 cash scholarship and a prize package. The teen winners received a $100 scholarship.
All winners will compete in the Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia’s Teen competition in Columbus in June 2025.
The event also honored Neva Jane Langley Fickling, the 1953 Miss Macon and Georgia’s first Miss America, with a $100 scholarship in her memory. Tara Schiphof, Miss Georgia 2023, served as emcee.
The Miss Macon Scholarship Organization, established in 1921, is a not-for-profit affiliate and preliminary of the Miss America Organization, which provides scholarship assistance and fosters community service.
