Wesleyan College reopens historic residence hall after nearly a decade
The campus was able to raise just shy of $3.5 million to reopen the space.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wesleyan College is reopening the historic Banks Residence Hall that’s been closed for nearly a decade.
Wesleyan College President Meaghan Blight was joined by students, city leaders, college alumni and members of the Board of Trustees Thursday morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of Banks Residence Hall.
President Blight says when the school year resumes in August, 125 students will be walking into a newly renovated space.
She says everything is brand new, from the bathrooms to the dorm rooms.
Banks Residence Hall was originally constructed in 1928 and its located in the heart of the campus.
The campus was able to raise just shy of $3.5 million from various donors to renovate and reopen the space.
