MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Ahead of the Olympic Games, 41NBC presents ‘Train Like a Champion,’ featuring local athletes who share the basics of their sport.

Brandon Davey, a local coach, says one of the fundamentals of basketball is learning how to dribble.
Davey says to make sure your hands are on the outside of your hip, make sure your hands are in the right place, sit down widely off the ground, and keep your head up. Davey emphasizes the importance of not leaning forward or backward, because it could impact your dribbling.
“You got to continue to practice every day,” says Davey. “The main thing is have confidence in yourself, in anything that you do. Just be confident.”
