Pastors across Georgia holding bible reading in County Courthouse Squares
The Sunday morning scripture readings will begin at 7:14 in all participating counties.

LAURENS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —Pastor Curt Lysaker and Deacon James Fincher of Shady Grove Baptist in Dublin, are just two church leaders participating in the 6th annual bible reading happening across Georgia on Sunday.
“It’s not about any particular denomination. We just want Christians to come together,” said Pastor Curt Lysaker of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
“It’s a privilege, to come here and publicly profess our faith, and try and reach people through the bible,” said Deacon James Fincher of Shady Grove Baptist.
Pastor Lysaker tells 41NBC, the religious leaders, in each community will read different parts of the bible, and how this all came about.
“It’s actually, 2 Corinthians 14 where we get the idea from, and that’s where we get the date 7/14, with the time, 7:14 so, we call it, ‘The 7-14 Project,” said Pastor Lysaker.
His group will read from the book of Proverbs, Chapters 18-25. The pastor, says when they’re finished reading the scriptures, they’ll pray over the nation and local officials.
“One of the reasons we do this is because our nation is in turmoil, so we figure if we pray according to the scriptures and do what we’re supposed to, God, will heal our land,” said Pastor Lysaker.
