GSP: 1 dead after head-on crash on Gray Highway early Sunday
One person died after a head-on collision on Gray Highway near Wood Valley Road early Sunday morning.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person is dead after a head-on collision on Gray Highway near Wood Valley Road early Sunday morning.
According to Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Marcel Hill of Macon died in the crash, which happened just after midnight.
Troopers say the crash involved a Nissan Altima and a Chevy Colorado. Preliminary investigations indicate that the Nissan Altima was traveling westbound in the eastbound left lane when it struck the Chevy Colorado head-on. The crash caused both vehicles to rotate counterclockwise, with the Nissan coming to rest in the center grass median and the Chevy stopping in the right eastbound lane.
GSP says occupants of the Chevy were taken to Atrium Health Navicent with non-life-threatening injuries.
Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones says Hill was 29.
