Bibb deputies investigating after human remains found under home

Deputies responded to a vacant home in the 1600 block of Pio Nono Lane just after 1 p.m. Monday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of human remains under a home.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded to a vacant home in the 1600 block of Pio Nono Lane just after 1 p.m. Monday.

“It was reported that human remains were found on the property,” the release stated.

According to deputies, the property owner reported the remains were found in a crawl space under the home. Deputies arrived and confirmed the remains were human.

Deputies say they also found a small Blue’s Clues t-shirt and blue bandana pajama bottoms.

Deputies say the identity of the remains discovered, and the length of time the remains were inside the crawl space, have yet to be determined.

The remains are being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab to determine the person’s identity.
