MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Near average temperatures are expected to begin the new month along with isolated storm chances.

This Evening

Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 80s while the sun is out around the region as some afternoon clouds try to clear out this evening. A few isolated showers or a thunderstorm will be possible through this evening and into tonight. A couple of overnight storms will also be possible. Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 60s for most of the region accompanied by a light wind out of the south.

Tomorrow

Middle Georgia will see many locations climb close to the 90 degree mark tomorrow afternoon with real feels likely reaching into the lower 90s around the region. Ambient winds will come from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph. Despite partly cloudy skies in the afternoon UV Index values will likely hover around 10, so sunscreen is a must for Middle Georgians spending time outdoors.

A few isolated storms will be possible throughout the day. No severe weather is expected, however any storm can have plenty of lightning and a slight hail potential.

A few isolated showers or storms will remain possible heading into tomorrow night as well. Overnight skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Low temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s rolling into Wednesday as winds stay light from the south.

Wednesday and Beyond

Conditions will remain a bit muggy Wednesday and Thursday as partly cloudy conditions and afternoon storm odds stick around. A weak cold front will pass through on Thursday which will bring a few storms with it and drier conditions on the backside. That being said, conditions rolling into the weekend are likely to be sunny and hot.
