MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will rise back into the upper 80s (and maybe lower 90s) Friday afternoon.

Mostly clear skies from the afternoon will stay that way through the evening. After midnight the region will likely see scattered clouds overhead as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 50s rolling into Friday morning. Ambient wind overnight will come from the northeast at around 5 mph.

Partly sunny skies are likely throughout the afternoon across Middle Georgia to finish off the month of May. Highs will be around the normal for this time of year as they climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s around the region. Ambient winds will come from the east-southeast at about 5-10 mph, gusting upwards of 17 mph.

Scattered clouds will remain over the region heading into the overnight hours as winds shift more towards the southeast. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s heading into Saturday morning.

Partly cloudy skies are likely on Saturday with a slim chance for a shower or a storm in the afternoon. Highs over the weekend will reach the mid to upper 80s both afternoons, however come Sunday a bit more cloud cover is expected. Rain odds will remain low, but a couple of isolated storms cannot be ruled out.

Next week temperatures will climb more towards the 90s as isolated storms remain possible each afternoon.
